How do I find a legitimate work from home job?

Question: How do I find a legitimate work from home job?

My mom moved in with my husband and I from out of state to help take care of our newborn, but she wants to be able to to help us financially since she is an added expense. But she has no car, and has to be able to stay home and take care of the baby while we work. Working from home is really the only option. With so many scams out there we have no idea how to find legitimate work for her, we live in Colorado. Any ideas?

Answer: well, actually, there are lots of things that you can do from home. the problem is, that none of them are going to bring in the same kind of income as working outside the home or they will take time to do so. these are some of the things that i have tried or someone i know personally has tried.

1) selling cosmetics. you can try avon or mary-kay (i recommend avon over mary-kay because there is a smaller investment and no inventory, but you do have to sell a certain amount to get paid) If you are fun and friendly and enjoy make-up and what not, then it is a good fit. 2) answering questions on cha-cha. i dont know if they are busy as they used to be, but my sister worked for them for awhile. people text in questions and you can either rephrase them and check the spelling or move up to answering the questions. you get paid per question. 3) running an in-home daycare or just babysitting a little. just make sure you have a strong spine to do this and make sure you are doing it legally! there are some parents that are awesome and some that will definitely take advantage of you. so be sure to stand your ground and get paper documents on everything!

4) health and wellness education. talk to people on the phone about common health concerns and how to reduce the triggers in their home. you also get paid per account doing this, but get the advantage of a lot of knowledge and helping people. ( www.freedomfortomorrow.com )

5) are you crafty? you can crafts different things and sell them on etsy or ebay. i also have a friend who goes to thrift shops and buys name brand clothes (especially kids clothes) and then resells them for 3 times as much on ebay! ( www.etsy.com or www.ebay.com )

6) independent/direct sales. monavie, pampered chef, premier jewelry, herbal life, etc. if you dont mind the sale aspect, you will do just fine! i know someone who does all of those and manages to bring in at least a little bit each month! ( sorry! dont know all the websites! )

something important for you to understand though is that ALL jobs that allow you to work from home will have some sort of fee with them. it can be for software for your computer, a membership, a percentage of sales, your kit to work, training, a website, etc. its just like having to buy office attire clothes to work in an office building, or non-slip shoes to work in a restaurant, or booth rental to be a hair stylist, etc. beware anything that advertises "free". those are the real scam. just be sure to read the fine print on everything and ask lots of questions!
