My mom moved in with my husband and I from out of state to help take care of our newborn, but she wants to be able to to help us financially since she is an added expense. But she has no car, and has to be able to stay home and take care of the baby while we work. Working from home is really the only option. With so many scams out there we have no idea how to find legitimate work for her, we live in Colorado. Any ideas?
Answer: well, actually, there are lots of things that you can do from home. the problem is, that none of them are going to bring in the same kind of income as working outside the home or they will take time to do so. these are some of the things that i have tried or someone i know personally has tried.
1) selling cosmetics. you can try avon or mary-kay (i recommend avon over mary-kay because there is a smaller investment and no inventory, but you do have to sell a certain amount to get paid) If you are fun and friendly and enjoy make-up and what not, then it is a good fit. 2) answering questions on cha-cha. i dont know if they are busy as they used to be, but my sister worked for them for awhile. people text in questions and you can either rephrase them and check the spelling or move up to answering the questions. you get paid per question. (www.chacha.com i believe)
3) running an in-home daycare or just babysitting a little. just make sure you have a strong spine to do this and make sure you are doing it legally! there are some parents that are awesome and some that will definitely take advantage of you. so be sure to stand your ground and get paper documents on everything!
